APA has joined the "Don't Deny Me" campaign, a national consumer movement that asks politicians, insurance companies, and attorneys general to enforce parity laws and assure equal access, to raise awareness of this problem and empower patients to fight for their legal rights. The campaign encourages patients to file appeals and complaints against health plans that do not provide enough mental health and addiction coverage, as well as providing sample social media comments for psychologists and patients to use.
